8.1.4 History

Every expression entered in the text-input area is stored in a history list. The history menu displays the list and allows old expressions to be recalled, without having to be reentered using the keyboard. The history list is persistent.

To add a single item from the history list onto the algebra display,

touch anywhere on the item but not on the check box. An expression added in this way replaces the active expression in the workspace.

To add multiple items onto the algebra display

touch the check box next to the desired items, then touch . Since many expressions can be added in this way, the workspace is automatically rearranged to accommodate them.

To remove items from the history list,

touch the check box next to the items, then touch .

To clear the history list

touch the select all icon , then touch .

To add all items on the history list to the algebra display,

touch the select all icon , then touch .
